Meredith Andrews: "Worth It All" Tour

With a trio of albums on Word Records, a slew of singles that naturally translate to church settings and multiple Dove Awards, Meredith Andrews would be welcomed warmly no matter the city; but considering she was on home turf in Chicago-land, there seemed to be extra appreciation for her enormous musical gifts.

Though the singer/songwriter/ Harvest Bible Chapel worship leader presented songs from her entire history, material from the latest long player, Worth It All, found her raising the bar vocally and lyrically as she led the captive concert congregation in 90 minutes of soul-stirring praise.

Accompanied by her husband, Jacob, on keys (and a baby girl in her belly), Andrews astounded with her crystalline delivery throughout originals “Open Up The Heavens,” “In Your Arms,” “You’re Not Alone” and “Not For A Moment (After All),” along with modern worship standards such as “Revelation Song” and “Oh Lord, You’re Beautiful.”

Thematically, the night found Andrews encouraging the attendees to find their identity exclusively in Christ, which was channeled through the beautiful, yet-to-be-recorded ballad “Soar,” which the troubadour hinted could be on a new album she plans to start after the couple’s third child is born.
