Dove award winning musical artist Phil Keaggy has teamed up with Christian artists Audrey Assad, Buddy Greene, Jeff Taylor and Ashley Bane to provide a benefit concert for Instruments of Joy. Instruments of Joy is a musical charity that has provided more than 450 quality musical instruments to musicians in need in over 50 countries.
“Having some of the best musicians in the world serving musicians in need is a dream come true” says Instruments Of Joy’s founder Joshua MacLeod. 100% of the proceeds from the concert will be used to purchase quality musical instruments that will then be distributed by the ministry.
Concert to be held at Springhouse Worship and Arts Center in Smyrna TN on March 6th at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at instrumentsofjoy.org
Phil Keaggy’s solo career has spanned more than 45 years and has included over 60 solo albums. He has won several Dove awards and was voted one of the top fingerstyle guitarists by Guitar Magazine. Phil continues to deliver the Gospel through his music all across the U.S.
Audrey Assad is the daughter of a Syrian refugee, an author, speaker, producer, and critically lauded songwriter and musician. She releases music she calls "soundtracks for prayer"
Buddy Greene has performed across America, made numerous trips abroad, and released twenty recording projects. His album Sojourner’s Song won the Gospel Music Association’s Dove award for Best Country Album, and he has received 9 other Dove award nominations.
Jeff Taylor plays accordion for the Time Jumpers, a Western swing group that released the album On the Air. He spent a year as the bandleader on Hee Haw Live, which featured George Lindsey and Grandpa Jones, and a similar length of time with Boots Randolph. He has appeared regularly at the Grand Ole Opry with Cajun country artist Jimmy C. Newman. As a soloist, he played accordion with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
